About Duncan Stoddart
I am a psychotherapist and counsellor with over 20 years experience working with individual clients. As a therapist I've worked in mental health agencies and universities in England and Wales for 12 years, between 2005 and 2017.
I opened my private practice in 2009 in Warwickshire, and currently work as an independent psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, based in central Shrewsbury.
I previously taught at the University of Warwick, on the university's Counselling & Psychotherapy degree programme. I facilitated and taught trainee counsellors on this nationally recognised and BACP accredited course.
In addition to my therapeutic work, I have over 20 years experience of consultancy and coaching for individuals from public and private organisations.
I am a Senior Accredited psychotherapist of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and registered with the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). My practice is monitored by a fully qualified clinical supervisor.
As a member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society I accept the NCPS's Code of Ethics for good practice. In the case of any complaint I would be subject to their disciplinary procedures.
Registered with the ICO (data protection & control), I also hold a DBS Certificate (previously the Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau - CRB).
